Hei,

jeg vil skrive på engelsk fordi jeg kan ikke gjøre det på norsk så god. But I"m still trying. :)

First I like to introduce myself. My name is Grzegorz (Gregory) and I"m from Poland. I"ve some friends in Norway (Kirkenær) and now I"m trying to fine people from Norway who makes railroad layouts in TT (1:120). I was searching a little about that on some norwegian MJ sites but I"ve found nothing special about 1:120.

So, I you know somebody like that tell me please.
That"s my unfinished modul-station in 1:120

Best regards.

Hi Gregory!

The probably cause for not finding any norwegian TT-scale-sites on the internet is that TT-scale is rare in Norway, and not a common scale among norwegian modelrailway builders. I don"t know about any norwegian hobby-shop which stocks TT-scale items, eventhoug I think they could get it if requested.

It is strange though, because TT-scale has the space-advantage H0 doesen"t, and new TT-scale rollingstock often operates better than N-scale when it comes to shunting. And these days it is possible to get hold of a lot of rollingstock, which easily could be "norwegianized", sometimes only by a paintjob and new livery. For example:

  • Tillig"s BR 52, with and without headlight, could easily be transformed into NSB type 63 "Stortysker".
  • Tillig"s Diesel locomotive Nohab could with a little "bashing" be made into NSB Di3 Nohab.
  • Tillig"s Diesellok T 334 could with a portion of imagination and "modeller"s licence" pass as a Skd226 from CargoNet.
  • Tillig"s Dieseltriebwagen VT 137 cold be repainted to a NSB Cmdeo 10.
  • Tillig"s Personenwagen (ex Ci-30) could be repainted into a C1, or rebuilt into a BFV1.
  • Tillig"s Eilzugwagen 2. Klasse (ex C4i-30), could be repainted into a B1.
  • Tillig"s Eilzug-Gepäckwagen D could be repainted into a F1, if the roof gets reworked.
  • Tillig also offers a lot of different freight cars, and many of them can be repainted into norwegian. On the other hand, a lot of foreign freight cars visits Norway every now and then, and some of these foreign cars is aviaible thru Tillig as well.

Here is a link to Tillig for those who want to know more about what is aviable from the largest TT-scale manufacturer: Tillig TT

Even if I don"t know about any norwegians who build norwegian layouts in TT-scale, I know there is a lad from Germany who do. This is a link to his website.

And in Sweden there is a guy who have a large collection of TT-scale items. Unfortenatly he seems to be going out of buisness. This is the link to the modelrailway-museum Chateau Smårröd.

By the way, I"m impressed by your norewgian language knowledge!

Hei!

Jago Modellbau har en Br. 57 i sitt TT-sortiment, som kan fornorskes til en NSB type 61 "Gammeltysker".

Hei!

Hei!

Takk for svar.
